Just 15 minutes from the cottage, the Kee to Bala is a summer concert tradition since 1942. The Kee has played host to amazing musicians over the years including Louis Armstrong and Rush! Downtown Bala is a quaint little town that features small boutiques, antiques and craft shows. Another great option is the Town of Gravenhurst, 30 minutes away from the cottage. The historic downtown offers arts, antiques, souvenirs and more. Muskoka Wharf, also located in Gravenhurst includes a weekly Farmer’s Market, amazing eateries and a cute shop called “The Shipyards” filled with souvenirs.

Bala Museum is just 15 minutes from the cottage and is loved town treasure. It is a family-owned museum honoring the author of Anne of Green Gables – Lucy Maud Montgomery. Muskoka Bay Gallery & Pottery is a great place to browse some original art. In addition to the art they feature, they also offer pottery classes. Located just 30 minutes from the cottage, they run hands-on pottery classes where you can learn the basics of the art of clay and wheel work.
